The second day of the 49th All Japan Tokyo Branch Competition was held on the 7th at Fuchu no Mori Dream Hall in Fuchu City, where 42 groups performed.

Fourteen groups with high overall evaluations in musicality and originality received the Tokyo Branch Competition Award, while five groups that left a strong impression on the selection committee through their performance, direction, ideas, or the strengths of a small ensemble received the Margaret Award.

Over the two days of the 6th and 7th, a total of 26 groups received the Branch Competition Award. Among them, based on a lottery and points from past participation and awards, seven groups—Rose Quartz, Shion Women’s Choir, Women’s Choir Call Salvia, Tokyo Frauen Kammerchor, Utauman, N.F. Ladies Singers, and Women’s Choir Rin—qualified for the national competition to be held on August 22 and 23 at the Fukuyama Arts and Culture Hall Riden Rose.
