Following an incident where elementary school teachers in Nagoya shared secretly taken photos of female students, the Mie Prefecture Board of Education conducted an emergency survey of public schools, revealing details about how female students change clothes.

In July, the Mie Prefecture Board of Education conducted an urgent survey covering all 557 public schools.

The survey found that in nearly 20% of elementary schools, female students change clothes in classrooms during swimming lessons, while in 40% of high schools, female students change in classrooms during school events.

Additionally, it was reported that schools actively post student activities on their social media to promote the school’s appeal, with teachers often using personal smartphones to take photos.

The prefecture plans to examine these issues and implement countermeasures.
