The “Mikawa NeoPhoenix” team is scheduled to join the “B Premier” league starting next year, on the condition that a new arena is built in Toyohashi City by 2028. However, the opening of this new arena is now expected to be delayed until the 2029 fiscal year. Regarding this issue, the chairman stated…
“We will have thorough discussions. We have the desire to support them in any way we can.”
B.League
The B.League is Japan’s premier professional basketball league, established in 2016 through the merger of the former NBL and bj leagues. It was created to unify and elevate the sport’s popularity and competitiveness within the country, featuring a first and second division with a promotion and relegation system.
Aichi Prefecture
Aichi Prefecture, located in central Japan, is a major industrial and cultural hub historically known as the home of the Owari and Mikawa domains. It is most famous for Nagoya Castle, built in the early 17th century by the Tokugawa shogunate, and as the birthplace of the influential samurai lords Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Today, it is a global center for manufacturing, hosting companies like Toyota.
Mikawa NeoPhoenix
“Mikawa NeoPhoenix is a professional basketball team based in Kariya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The team was founded in 2010 as the Aisin AW Areions and was later rebranded with its current name in 2021. It currently competes in the B.League, Japan’s top professional basketball division.”
B Premier
I am unable to provide a summary for “B Premier” as it is not a recognized historical place, cultural site, or major landmark. It is possible this refers to a business, brand, or a local establishment that does not have widely documented historical significance.
Toyohashi City
Toyohashi City is a major industrial and commercial center in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, with a history dating back to its establishment as a castle town under the Yoshida Clan in the 16th century. It is historically significant for its role in the Tokaido trade route and is known today for its large port and manufacturing industries. The city’s cultural heritage is preserved in sites like the reconstructed Yoshida Castle and the traditional Toyohashi Gion Festival.
