Chunichi University Chukyo High School advances to the semifinals of the Spring National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament.

Aiming for their first Best Four in five years, Chunichi University Chukyo took the lead in the first inning. With runners on, their cleanup hitter, No. 5 batter Tomoteru Matsuda, who boasts a batting average over .500 in this tournament, drove a timely two-base hit to right field, putting his team ahead with a powerful swing from their key batter.

After being caught up and tied, they faced a crisis in the third inning when ace Ayaha Ando allowed runners on base. However, he escaped the jam without allowing a run by striking out the batter swinging.

The game remained tied 1-1 until the fifth inning. With a runner on third, No. 3 batter Hirotake Kamatachi successfully brought in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly.

From the fourth inning onward, Chunichi University Chukyo did not allow a single runner from the Hachinohe Gakuin Kosei batting lineup to reach base. They are heading to the Best Four!
