Western Karaoke GWR Tangerang Permanently Closed; Employees and Singing Guides Capture Final Moments
One of the legendary entertainment venues in Tangerang City, Western Karaoke, located in the strategic area of Great Western Resort (GWR) on Jalan MH Thamrin, Kebon Nanas, has reportedly officially ceased operations.
The news of the nightlife venue’s closure was reinforced by a photo circulating on social media regarding an official announcement from management.
“It is announced that Western Karaoke is closed and will no longer be operational. We, the entire management and all employees, thank you for visiting our place. – MANAGEMENT,” the announcement stated.
In addition to the announcement, a widely spread TikTok video from the account @nithayunitha02 showed the final moments of this venue before it ended its history.
In the video, the recorder shows a hallway corridor with floral-patterned walls and characteristic dim yellow lights.
The video then shifts to show the atmosphere inside one of the karaoke rooms. There, a number of staff, management, and crew gathered, wearing casual clothes to batik shirts, with somber faces.
All employees and dozens of women, presumed to be song guides, gathered together for a group photo session.
They smiled, posed together with peace signs (two fingers), and waved at the camera.
As of now, no official statement has been released by management regarding the main reason for the closure of Western Karaoke GWR, which had been operating for over a decade.
Western Karaoke was known as a nightlife venue frequently visited by customers from both inside and outside Tangerang City. The karaoke also had many customers from South Korea.
