TANGERANG – The Tangerang City Government, through the Education Department, has opened registrations for the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for elementary school level. Phase II registration will begin on July 9, 2025.
The Head of the Tangerang City Education Department stated that Phase II registration is being opened due to remaining available capacity for public use. Currently, there are spots available for 5,827 students.
“After Phase I of SPMB concluded and data was compiled, there is still a quota for the residency pathway, which will be opened in Phase II for elementary school level. Records show 5,792 seats for Tangerang City residents and 35 seats for non-residents,” they said on Tuesday (07/08).
They added that registration will start on July 9, 2025, at 08:00 WIB until July 11, 2025, at 14:00 WIB. Re-registration will take place on July 12, 2025, closing at 16:00 WIB.
The quota for non-Tangerang City residents is only available at select schools with remaining capacity, while the quota for Tangerang City residents is open across all schools.
“Please adjust according to residency and available school capacity. The registration application will display which schools still have open spots and which are full,” they explained.
It is hoped that all Tangerang City residents can utilize the available capacity in Phase II of elementary-level SPMB registration. Additionally, the Tangerang City Government has also provided free private schools to ensure no child is left without education.
