“PLN Asks Tangerang District Government to Warn Residents Installing Billboards Near Power Poles”

TANGERANGNEWS.com- PT PLN (Persero) Main Distribution Unit (UID) Banten, through its Customer Service Implementation Units (UP3) in Cikupa, Teluk Naga, and Serpong, held a meeting with Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid at the Tangerang Regent’s Office.

During the meeting, PLN presented several proposals to the Tangerang Regency Government, including support for public education on electrical network safety.

PLN urged residents to avoid planting trees under distribution lines and to refrain from installing billboards or banners near medium-voltage power lines.

Additionally, PLN requested streamlined permitting processes for network development projects to enable faster and more efficient public service delivery.

The public was also encouraged to pay electricity bills on time. Besides ensuring uninterrupted power supply, timely payments contribute to increasing Local Revenue (PAD) from street lighting taxes.

“PLN is ready to collaborate with the Tangerang Regency Government in providing reliable electricity services to support industrial growth, investment, and community welfare,” stated the Manager of PLN UP3 Cikupa.

In response, Tangerang Regent Maesyal Rasyid welcomed PLN’s initiatives in the Tangerang Regency area. He emphasized the local government’s full support for strengthening electrical infrastructure as it serves as the backbone of regional development.

“We appreciate PLN’s commitment. The local government fully supports the enhancement of electrical infrastructure as a crucial component of safe, organized, and sustainable regional development,” Maesyal affirmed.

Furthermore, Maesyal expressed hope that PLN would continue improving electrical infrastructure, particularly poles along main roads, to ensure public comfort and safety.

Ultimately, all parties agreed to maintain coordination to establish a resilient electrical system that supports regional economic growth.

“We believe strong collaboration between PLN and local government will lay the foundation for an electrical system that is not only technically reliable but also capable of driving sustainable regional economic growth,” concluded the General Manager of PLN UID Banten.
