Right-back and Persita Tangerang captain Muhammad Toha has officially ended his long journey with the club nicknamed Pendekar Cisadane.
Toha decided to continue his professional career by joining DPMM FC, a club competing in Brunei Darussalam.
This decision closes Toha’s nearly nine-year journey with Pendekar Cisadane since he first joined in 2017.
During his time with Persita, the player from Bontang, East Kalimantan, developed into one of the most influential figures in the team.
Not only as a key player, Toha was also known as a leader on the field and an important figure in the dressing room.
The 2025/2026 season was his last wearing Persita’s purple uniform.
That season, Toha performed consistently in defense, recording nearly 30 appearances, most of which he started from the first minute.
His performances last season also marked a special achievement as he surpassed 200 matches for Persita since his arrival nine years ago.
Persita management considers Toha one of the players who contributed greatly to the club’s journey over the past few seasons.
Meanwhile, Toha said he wanted to seek new experiences and develop his playing quality in a different environment.
“I want to find new experiences out there, and I hope I can maintain my playing character, attitude, and lifestyle. I have to be an example for other players, especially young players,” he said.
According to him, the support from fans was one of the most memorable things during his time with the Tangerang-based team.
“Wherever we played, the fans always came and were lively. I see that the people of Tangerang really love football.”
Toha also expressed gratitude for the opportunity Persita had given him throughout his career.
“I am happy and proud to have played more than 200 matches for Persita. I am always grateful for this opportunity. I hope Persita fans never tire of continuing to support and defend this team,” Toha said.
Joining DPMM FC is Toha’s first experience playing outside Indonesia.
Throughout his professional career, most of Toha’s football journey was spent with Persita before he began a new adventure in the Brunei Darussalam competition.
