Grand Opening Dialogue Music, an international-standard music school and musical instrument store at Ruko Hampton Avenue, Gading Serpong, Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency, Monday, June 1, 2026.

Dialogue Music, an international-standard music school and musical instrument store, has now opened at Ruko Hampton Avenue, Gading Serpong, Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency.

Officially established on April 21, 2026, this first branch brings a fresh concept that sets it apart from conventional music schools.

International Curriculum

The owner and head of Dialogue Music stated that the school implements three comprehensive learning pathways to accommodate various student interests.

For the classical pathway, Dialogue Music adopts the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) curriculum from the UK, focusing on instruments such as piano, classical guitar, wind instruments, and orchestra.

For contemporary instruments like electric guitar, bass, and drums, the Rockschool curriculum is used. Additionally, a hobby program with internal certification is available.

“We conduct evaluations every three months. Students not only learn to play instruments but are also taught to perform on stage, set up equipment, and understand the functions and specifications of the musical gear they use,” he said during the grand opening on Monday, June 1, 2026.

He gave an example: electric guitar students are trained to understand the technical differences between guitar components, such as neck and bridge pickups, as well as amplifier characteristics.

Currently, Dialogue Music has around 50 registered students guided by 20 professional instructors. To enhance learning quality, management is also exploring collaborations with several national musicians.

“For online vocal classes, there is interest from Ojan. For guitar classes, we are also exploring collaborations with musicians like Ardian and Ical from Last Child. This is still in the concept discussion stage,” he added.

For those interested, course fees at Dialogue Music School start from IDR 600,000 to IDR 1.5 million per month, depending on the chosen class duration (30, 45, or 60 minutes) with a frequency of once per week.

Special intensive programs, such as Summer School, are also available.

Offering Beginner to Premium Musical Instruments

On the retail side, the Head Store of Dialogue Music explained that their music store collaborates with two of the largest musical instrument distributors in Indonesia: PT Citra Intirama and Swee Lee.

This collaboration brings various legendary global brands such as Gibson, Fender, Pearl, Tama, and many more.

The collection is very comprehensive, ranging from entry-level for beginners to premium classes.

Available instruments include guitars (electric, acoustic, classical), drums (acoustic, electric), pianos (digital, upright, up to baby grand pianos), keyboards, violins, wind instruments, and supporting accessories.

“Our advantage is that we provide instruments that are truly suitable and high-quality for the learning process. When prospective students come for a trial, they can directly try the available instruments,” he said.

He also emphasized the importance of this physical store as an educational tool to prevent people from being deceived by counterfeit products when buying online.

“In our experience, many students buy instruments online without guidance and end up with counterfeit products or items of unsuitable quality. Here, we provide education and proper recommendations before they make a purchase,” he added.

Empowering Local Musicians and Products

Interestingly, he noted that many foreign-brand instruments they sell are actually produced directly in Indonesia. They are also open to future collaborations with local musical instrument manufacturers.

This is also part of an effort to support the community economic empowerment program promoted by the Ministry of SMEs.

“Amid challenging economic conditions, we want to be a platform for musicians, including domestic musical instrument producers,” he concluded.

ABRSM

The ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) is a UK-based music education body and examination board founded in 1889. It was established by the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music to create a standardized system for assessing musical performance and theory. Today, ABRSM is one of the world’s leading music exam providers, offering graded exams and qualifications to millions of students globally.

Rockschool

Rockschool is a UK-based music education and examination body that specializes in contemporary music, offering graded exams for instruments like guitar, drums, bass, and vocals. Founded in 1991, it was created to provide a structured syllabus for popular music styles, filling a gap left by traditional classical conservatoires. Today, it operates globally, with its qualifications recognized by regulators and used by thousands of music teachers and students worldwide.

Gibson

Gibson refers to both a city in Illinois and a brand of iconic American guitars. The city of Gibson, founded in the 19th century, is a small agricultural community. Alternatively, the Gibson guitar company, established in 1902 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, became legendary for its electric models like the Les Paul and SG, shaping modern music history.

Fender

Fender is a legendary American manufacturer of electric guitars, bass guitars, and amplifiers, founded in 1946 by Leo Fender in Fullerton, California. The company revolutionized popular music by mass-producing iconic solid-body instruments like the Telecaster (1950) and the Stratocaster (1954), which became staples of rock, blues, and country music. Fender’s innovations made amplified instruments more accessible and durable, shaping the sound of modern music for generations.

Pearl

The “Pearl” often refers to the Pearl-Qatar, an artificial island off the coast of Doha, built on a former pearl-diving site. Developed in the early 2000s, it transformed a historically significant area—once central to Qatar’s pre-oil pearl trade—into a luxurious residential and commercial district. Today, it features Mediterranean-style architecture, marinas, and upscale shopping, blending modern development with the nation’s pearling heritage.

Tama

Tama is a region in western Tokyo, Japan, known for its natural beauty, including mountains, rivers, and parks like Tama Zoo and Tama River. Historically, it was part of Musashi Province and developed as a suburban area during the Edo period, with its name appearing in ancient records. Today, it serves as a residential and recreational area, blending modern urban life with traditional cultural sites and scenic landscapes.

Last Child

“Last Child” is a poignant memorial and cultural site in Finland, located in the town of Suomussalmi. It commemorates the tragic events of the Winter War (1939–1940), specifically honoring the last child killed in the conflict—a young boy named Olavi Kivimäki. The site serves as a somber reminder of war’s impact on civilians, with a simple statue depicting a child to evoke reflection on loss and peace.

Ministry of SMEs

The Ministry of SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) is a government ministry in South Korea, established to support the growth and competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses.
