Comedian Mega Salsabilah expressed surprise at the speed of service at the Tangerang Regency Population and Civil Registration Office after the issue went viral.
The female comedian from Tangerang Regency had previously complained about slow administrative processes through social media.
Mega questioned why public services are only handled quickly when the news about them goes viral.
“It hasn’t even been 24 hours since my video about the service at the registration office went viral, and the officials came to help process the paperwork,” said Mega.
She admitted she was shocked because her document processing became extremely fast. She worried about the fate of people who don’t get the spotlight when they need to process documents.
“What surprised me was how fast the processing became. Does it have to go viral first to be fast? For people who don’t go viral, will officials come to their homes and help process their documents?” she concluded.
