TANGERANG – As a form of social care for others, Indomaret Tangerang Branch 2 successfully held a blood donation activity on Wednesday.

The event, held at the Indomaret Tangerang 2 office, was attended by dozens of employees from various divisions.

This activity is an annual routine agenda aimed at helping to maintain the blood supply at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) to provide a positive contribution to those in need.

In cooperation with the Tangerang District PMI, the event proceeded orderly and smoothly from morning until noon.

The Development Manager of Indomaret Tangerang Branch 2 expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm of his colleagues.

“We are very proud to see the spirit of sharing among our colleagues. Every drop of blood we donate is very meaningful to someone else’s life. This is a form of our commitment not only to do business but also to make a real impact on the surrounding environment,” he said.

Underwent a Series of Health Checks

Before donating blood, participants underwent a series of health checks, including blood pressure, hemoglobin, and other screenings to ensure they met the requirements to be donors. The medical team from PMI carried out their duties professionally and efficiently in serving all participants.

“Besides being able to help others, it also makes the body feel healthier. Moreover, this activity is directly facilitated by the office, making it easier and more comfortable,” he added.

Meanwhile, a PMI volunteer from Tangerang District who joined the blood donation team expressed gratitude to Indomaret Tangerang Branch 2 for regularly organizing blood donation activities.

“The enthusiasm of Indomaret employees is extraordinary. We hope the donated blood can be useful for those in need,” the volunteer said.

On this occasion, 66 employees registered as donors. After health screenings, blood was successfully collected from 60 people.

Indonesian Red Cross (PMI)

The Indonesian Red Cross (Palang Merah Indonesia or PMI) was officially established in 1950, but its origins trace back to the Dutch colonial era in the early 20th century. It is a humanitarian organization that provides disaster response, blood transfusion services, and health and social care across the Indonesian archipelago. As a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, it operates based on the fundamental principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence.

PMI

I am unable to provide a summary for “PMI” as it is not a recognized place or cultural site. The acronym PMI most commonly refers to the Project Management Institute, a professional membership association, not a geographical location.

Tangerang District PMI

Tangerang District PMI refers to the Indonesian Red Cross (Palang Merah Indonesia) chapter in Tangerang, a city in Banten province. The PMI is a humanitarian organization with a long history in Indonesia, officially established in 1945 but with roots in the Dutch colonial era. The Tangerang branch provides critical services like disaster response, blood donation drives, and public health initiatives for the local community.
