TANGERANG — President Prabowo Subianto emphasized to all regional leaders to encourage the creation of a clean and fair government. This statement was made during the opening of the expo at ICE BSD, Tangerang Regency.

In his opening address at the expo themed “Local Products Go Global,” Prabowo also reminded regional leaders to continue carrying out the people’s mandate and to adhere to Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.

According to the President, the efficiency efforts being implemented by his administration are also a way of upholding this article.

Prabowo asked regional leaders to be more patient due to the reduction in transfers from the central government as a result of efficiency measures. He stated that these transfers can be direct or indirect.

“Efficiency should not be interpreted as cutting regional transfers. Regional transfers can be direct or indirect, but all are for the regions,” said Prabowo.

President Prabowo then advised regional leaders, especially regents, to get closer to the people.

“You are the ones closest to the people. You should be the most aware of the people’s pulse, and you should be the most sensitive to the people’s difficulties,” emphasized Prabowo.

“Defend your people, serve your people, fight for the best for your people. You will succeed as a leader,” added Prabowo.

1945 Constitution

The 1945 Constitution is the foundational legal document of the Republic of Indonesia. It was first drafted and ratified in August 1945, just after the nation’s declaration of independence, to serve as the basis for its new government. It has since been amended several times, most significantly between 1999 and 2002, to strengthen democracy, human rights, and the division of powers.
