The Communication Science Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang has officially achieved the “UNGGUL” accreditation rating.
This accreditation was granted based on the decision of the Executive Board of LAMSPAK Number 156/AK.03.05/2026 dated May 25, 2026.
The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences stated that this achievement is the result of collaboration among all academic members in building an education system that is adaptive to current developments and the needs of the workforce.
Moreover, the Communication Science Study Program is one of the departments with the largest number of students in Tangerang City.
According to the Dean, this encourages the faculty to continuously improve the quality of education within the faculty.
“We aim to produce a generation ready to compete globally, adaptive to current developments, while still upholding Islamic values, integrity, and social awareness,” he said.
The Communication Science Study Program has been known for focusing on preparing graduates who meet the needs of modern industry.
During the course of study, students are equipped with skills in broadcasting, public relations, digital media, content creation, media planning, marketing communication, and digital-based creative industries.

In addition to being directed toward becoming professionals, students are also encouraged to develop an entrepreneurial spirit to create their own business opportunities in the digital era.
The faculty also provides a flexible lecture system through evening classes, weekend classes, and hybrid learning.
This scheme allows students who are already working to continue their education without having to leave their jobs.
Supported by teaching staff from both academia and industry practitioners, modern learning facilities, and a curriculum tailored to the needs of the workforce, the faculty is optimistic about continuing to produce graduates ready to compete at national and global levels.
