A police raid was conducted on a house in Medan City, which served as a storage facility for an international drug network.

The Director of Drug Investigation for the North Sumatra Regional Police stated that the operation took place on Tuesday. A total of four suspects were arrested at the raid location.

“This discovery began with public reports about a house suspected of being a frequent site for drug transactions,” said the director.

The three main suspects arrested were identified as RR (32), FM (42), and IS (45). Another suspect, FA, was also detained at the scene after testing positive for drug use.

Police seized a large quantity of drugs from the house, including 26 kg of methamphetamine, 2,400 grams of ketamine, 39,650 ecstasy pills of various brands, 150 liquid vape cartridges containing narcotics, and 34 packages of Happy Water laced with dipentylone and heroin. The drugs were confirmed to belong to a Thai network.

“During interrogation, the main suspect admitted to receiving the drug shipments from someone under the orders of HS, an Aceh resident currently living in Thailand. The identities and connections of the network are still under further investigation,” the statement added.
