Member of the Medan Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), Iswanda Ramli, once again conducted a socialization session on the Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 3 of 2021 regarding Population Administration for constituents.

This time, on Sunday, the Chair of the Democratic Party Faction introduced the regulation to residents on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Gang Amal, No. 21/16, in the neighborhood of Sei Sikambing D, Medan Petisah District.

As before, Iswanda urged the public not to neglect Population Administration matters, particularly regarding ID cards (KTP) and Family Cards (KK).

“Why are these population documents important for every citizen? Because they not only concern personal identity but are also required to access government assistance, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), healthcare, education aid, and other benefits,” he said.

The absence of proper population documents, according to the Secretary of Commission II of the Medan DPRD, has left many residents unable to receive social assistance (Bansos), with incomplete documentation being a key obstacle.

“Therefore, I emphasize that those who lack complete population documents should promptly process them. I am ready to assist if there are difficulties in dealing with government procedures,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of Government Affairs for Sei Sikambing D Village, Medan Petisah District, stated that they had already conducted socialization efforts on Population Administration for the community.

“Sei Sikambing D Village in Medan Petisah District has implemented a policy of direct outreach to communities in neighborhoods 1 through 12 to promote awareness of Population Administration,” he said.

From these efforts, nearly 80% of residents in Sei Sikambing D now possess electronic ID cards.

In addition to Medan Petisah District, similar activities were also carried out by Iswanda Ramli on Jalan Palem Raya, Block 9, Neighborhood 10, Helvetia Village, Medan Helvetia District.
