In his speech, the Governor requested that the Jakarta Indonesian Chess Association, under the leadership of Hardiyanto Kenneth, regain the overall champion title at the 50th Indonesian Chess Championship to be held in Mamuju, West Sulawesi.
Additionally, the Governor also hopes that the Chess Association can produce young athletes who contribute to the development of chess in Indonesia.
“I truly hope that the Jakarta Indonesian Chess Association will maintain the momentum to produce exceptional athletes like Alexander Tjong and contribute to the development of chess in Indonesia,” he said.
Furthermore, the Governor also emphasized the importance of nurturing young athletes as valuable assets. In addition, the Governor asked the Head of the Sports Department to provide attention and support to Jakarta’s young chess athletes.
