The Satu Kalam Depok City Fellowship Forum (Forsil) once again demonstrated care for others through a humanitarian action. During the Islamic Kindergarten Hajj Ritual Simulation event for all of Depok City held at the Bumi Wiyata Hotel, Forsil Satu Kalam handed over a donation of Rp 5,000,000 for the people of Palestine through the Depok City National Alms Agency (Baznas).

Thousands of participants consisting of Islamic kindergarten children, accompanying teachers, and parents filled the activity area. Besides being an educational event about the fifth pillar of Islam, this activity was also marked by a spirit of humanity and solidarity for our brothers and sisters in Gaza.

The donation was symbolically presented by a representative of Forsil Satu Kalam to the Depok City National Alms Agency (Baznas). It was stated that this event was not just about teaching worship, but also about building character and social awareness from an early age.

“We are using this Hajj ritual simulation as a moment to instill humanitarian values in the children. That worship is not only about spiritual rituals, but also an expression of affection and care for others,” a representative said.

It was explained that the series of activities was filled with a hajj procession simulation, communal prayers for world peace, and a donation collection involving the participation of attendees and parents. The atmosphere was solemn yet cheerful, reflecting the children’s enthusiasm in following every stage of the activity.

It was added that this event is hoped to foster spiritual values, empathy, and solidarity among children and the wider community.

“May the aid we have channeled become a small part of the efforts by the people of Depok City to ease the burden of the Palestinian people. More than that, may it be an important lesson for the younger generation to always be sensitive to the suffering of others,” the representative concluded.

hajj procession simulation

It allows participants to virtually perform key Hajj rituals, such as Tawaf (circling the Kaaba) and Sa’i (walking between Safa and Marwah), without physically traveling to Saudi Arabia. These simulations help pilgrims, especially those with limited mobility or who are preparing for the actual journey, understand the rites and logistics of one of Islam’s five pillars.

Palestinian people

The Palestinian people are an Arab ethnic group with deep historical roots in the region of Palestine, a land with a rich history of ancient Canaanite, Israelite, Roman, and Ottoman rule. Their modern national identity was significantly shaped by the events of the 20th century, including the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, which led to the displacement of a majority of the Arab Palestinian population in an event known as the Nakba. Today, Palestinian culture and heritage are preserved in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and within a global diaspora.
