Dozens of students from an Islamic boarding school in Depok, West Java, were rushed to Bhayangkara Brimob Hospital after experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. The Head of the Depok Health Department, Mary Liziawati, stated that the students suffered from food poisoning at the boarding school.

“It is suspected to be food poisoning, but this is not MBG. It came from the boarding school kitchen, which regularly prepares meals for the students,” said Mary.

Mary mentioned that her department is still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the poisoning. Currently, the Depok Health Department is awaiting laboratory results.

“The Health Department is investigating. Food samples are no longer available, so we collected samples of vomit and water. We are still waiting for the lab results. All students with complaints have been treated,” she stated.
