DEPOK (03/06/2026) – To ensure a smooth transition for new student admissions, the Depok City Government through the Education Office has officially activated a service and complaint center for the New Student Admission System for the 2026/2027 academic year. This center covers all formal education levels under the city’s authority, from kindergarten to public junior high school.

This complaint channel will remain available continuously throughout the SPMB operational period, starting from the pre-registration phase on May 22 until the cycle closes on July 7, 2026.

Field Issue Map: Account Problems, Family Cards, and Geotagging

The SPMB 2026/2027 committee for Depok City explained that the physical post or main helpdesk is located in the lobby area on the 4th floor of the Depok City Education Office. This interactive service is designed to provide direct assistance to parents and prospective students facing technical or administrative issues with the online registration system.

Based on the committee’s daily report draft, public complaints are dominated by three main problem clusters:

  • Account Factors: Obstacles in the applicant account verification process.

  • Administrative Factors: Issues with reading newly issued Family Card data due to population data updates.

  • Geotagging Factors: Inaccuracies in determining the domicile coordinates of prospective students on digital maps.

In response to geotagging issues, the Depok Education Office has implemented an accommodating policy, allowing one tolerance for coordinate position corrections.

“The recalibration or correction of coordinate points can be done through the target school of registration or directly at the Education Office. We have placed special operators at each home school base, so parents do not need to flock to the Education Office,” explained the official on Wednesday (03/06).

High Complaint Volume, Education Office Provides Two WhatsApp Channels

The high intensity of field issues is reflected in the volume of actual incoming complaints, where on average the Education Office post handles more than 100 complaints per day. To prevent physical crowds and streamline bureaucracy, the Education Office has divided the digital complaint channel based on the WhatsApp application into two specific hotline numbers:

Education Level Cluster WhatsApp Helpdesk Contact Number
Kindergarten & Elementary School 085286228680
Junior High School 085286228682

Service Operating Hours:

All post facilities, both face-to-face at the office lobby and interactive responses via WhatsApp, are strictly limited to official working hours, from 07:00 AM to 04:00 PM Western Indonesia Time.

In his closing remarks, the official firmly urged parents to carefully study the regulatory documents, terms, and conditions of SPMB 2026/2027 before uploading files. Compliance with these procedural drafts is considered key to ensuring the data migration process runs more smoothly with fewer system failures.
