Depok – A student identified as A became a victim of a scam involving accusations of misconduct in Pengasinan, Bojongsari, Depok. The victim’s motorcycle was taken by the perpetrator.
The incident occurred on Sunday (May 31, 2026) at 3:15 PM local time. The victim, who was riding his motorcycle, was suddenly stopped by an unknown man.
“When the victim, identified as A, was passing on the road riding the motorcycle, he was stopped by an unknown man (the reported perpetrator),” said the Bojongsari Police Chief, Commissioner Fauzan Thohari, when contacted on Tuesday (June 2, 2026).
He stated that the victim was accused of committing misconduct against one of the perpetrator’s family members. The perpetrator then took the victim’s motorcycle under the pretext of needing to clarify the matter with his family.
“However, upon arriving at the scene, A was told to get off, and the motorcycle was taken by the reported perpetrator under the pretext of clarification to his family. After that, the reported perpetrator did not return,” he said.
The victim suffered a loss of 15 million Indonesian Rupiah. Currently, the police have inspected the crime scene and are hunting for the perpetrator.
“The victim has already filed a report at the police station. We from the police station have also responded quickly, checked the crime scene, and are investigating to uncover the perpetrator. We urge the public to always be vigilant and not easily trust people they have never met or just met. Or they can immediately contact the police service at 110,” he said.
