Ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area (Daop) 2 Bandung has formulated an operational strategy to anticipate an increase in passenger volume. The main strategy is the addition of seating capacity and long-distance train services.

This holiday transport period will run from December 18, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

  • Total Services: 29 long-distance train services.

  • Total Seating Capacity: 284,436 seats available during the holiday period.

  • Additional Seats: Four additional train services contribute 44,280 seats.

Demand Projection and Ticket Security Advisory

High public interest in train transport, known for its efficiency and punctuality, has been evident from initial sales data. As of November 26, 2025, Daop 2 recorded that 50,517 customers had purchased tickets for initial departures from the Bandung area. This number is projected to continue increasing.

Given the high demand, the public is advised to plan their trips and purchase tickets as early as possible through official channels:
