BEKASI CITY – The Bekasi City Government will collaborate with the Jakarta Provincial Government to utilize raw water for the needs of Perumda Tirta Patriot. Through this cooperation, the Bekasi City-owned enterprise will receive additional clean water supply to be distributed to the residents of Bekasi.

This was revealed during a meeting between Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto and his delegation with Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at City Hall on Tuesday (7/8/2025).

In a press conference, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government and Bekasi City Government will collaborate to provide additional clean water supply for Bekasi. The cooperation will be carried out between PT PAM Jaya and Perumda Tirta Patriot.

“Yes, this is about how the Jakarta Government can cooperate, as we can produce more clean water, so part of it will be distributed to Bekasi. The field implementation will be handled by PAM Jaya and Perumda Tirta Patriot,” said Pramono Anung.

“I have approved it, and the Bekasi Mayor has also agreed, so the follow-up will proceed immediately,” he added.

Meanwhile, Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto mentioned that Bekasi has a population of 2.4 million people, with 850 thousand households.

However, he noted that the Bekasi City Government currently only supplies clean water to around 130 thousand households.

“There will be additional raw water provided by PAM Jaya to Tirta Patriot, which will then be processed and distributed to the community, especially those in border areas,” he said.
