A chain-reaction traffic accident occurred on Kalimalang Inspection Road, Tambun, West Java. A truck collided with 8 vehicles, including cars and a motorcycle.

“The material damage involved 7 cars and 1 motorcycle,” according to a police statement on Monday (13/4/2026).

The incident happened at 5:22 PM local time. The truck was traveling from Grand Wisata towards the Legenda intersection, carrying a load of iron scrap.

“While going downhill, the driver felt the brakes were not functioning properly,” the statement explained.

The truck’s assistant then tried to handle the situation by jamming the wheels. However, this effort was unsuccessful and the truck continued moving.

“Consequently, it crashed into vehicles that were stopped waiting in line at the Legenda traffic light,” the statement said.

It was stated there were no fatalities or injuries in the incident. The vehicles involved have now been evacuated by officers.

“The vehicles have been evacuated to the Legenda Traffic Police Post, and the truck was evacuated to the police accident unit office,” the statement noted.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the vehicles involved in the accident were secured as evidence. The case is still under investigation, including the cause.

“The eight vehicles involved are secured at the Traffic Police Unit’s Law Enforcement Division,” according to the report.

In addition to the 8 cars, it was stated there was 1 motorcycle involved in the chain collision. The Yamaha Vega motorcycle was ridden by a man with the initial B (56).

“The accident only caused material damage; there were no injuries or fatalities,” the report concluded.
