Bekasi – A father identified by the initials JN (54) in Tambun District, Bekasi Regency, sexually abused his 14-year-old daughter under the pretext of providing sexual education.

The Metro Bekasi Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Sumarni, stated that the victim was abused by her biological father in a rented house where they lived together. Previously, the victim had been living with her grandparents in Tambelang because both parents were working.

However, the perpetrator brought the victim to live alone with him, claiming it was to be closer to her school.

“The perpetrator is suspected of exploiting the closeness and the situation of the rented house, leaving the victim in a helpless condition,” said Commissioner Sumarni.

The police launched an investigation after receiving the report. Investigators are still examining the perpetrator’s statements regarding the abuse of the victim.

The case came to light after the victim confided in her sibling. Eventually, the father was reported to the police and detained for further investigation.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation at Metro Bekasi Police, Assistant Commissioner Jerico Lavian Chandra, added that the suspect has been detained and is undergoing intensive questioning at the Metro Bekasi Police Headquarters.

During the investigation, the police secured several pieces of evidence, including a forensic medical report, the victim’s clothing, psychological examination results, and statements from several witnesses.
