CIKARANG – Golkar Faction Chairman of Bekasi Regency DPRD, Novy Yasin, ensures that the people’s interests are always the main priority and are always discussed in every faction meeting. This statement was made to address circulating issues since his inauguration until now.
“In faction meetings, we definitely prioritize people’s affairs. Such as education issues, infrastructure. Recently we also distributed basic food supplies to the community,” said the sibling of former Bekasi Regent Neneng Hasanah Yasin.
In addition, every DPRD member from the Golkar faction is asked to focus more on receiving community aspirations in their electoral districts (Dapil), which are then brought to the faction for discussion and solution-seeking.
“DPRD members of the Golkar faction in their respective electoral districts often record aspirations from the grassroots, which we then bring to faction meetings,” he explained.
However, to conduct faction meeting activities, Novy admits they are not always held in the faction room of the DPRD building. This is because the people’s representatives are often engaged in outside duties or working visits.
“We have a WhatsApp group, sometimes we inform there whether discussions will be held in the faction office or during outside duties,” said Novy, who previously served as Deputy Chairman of DPRD.
Novy, who also serves as Secretary of the Golkar Party DPD, reiterated that the people’s voice is the most important part during faction meetings.
“So if there’s an issue that we never hold faction meetings, I confirm that’s not true. We always and often seek solutions for the people,” emphasized the woman who was once a candidate for Golkar Party DPD Chairman several years ago.
