CIKARANG – The former secretary of the National Paralympic Committee Indonesia (NPCI) of Bekasi Regency, Acep Jon, urged that the branch meeting (muscab) for electing the Chair of NPCI Bekasi Regency for the 2026-2031 period be conducted transparently and democratically, in accordance with the organization’s bylaws and standing orders.
“Don’t let this branch meeting, don’t let this election deviate from the bylaws for electing the candidate for Chair of NPCI Bekasi Regency, so that conflicts do not arise among the athletes who have already supported the chair candidates,” said Acep.
According to him, the chair election process must not cause internal conflict among athletes during the chair election.
Acep explained that there are several candidate names who have represented Bekasi Regency in disability sports events. Among them are Kurniawan, Adit, and Hilman.
“The candidates are, first, from Bekasi Regency, Bang Kurniawan who has represented Bekasi Regency. Second, Adit who has represented Bekasi Regency. Third, Hilman who has represented Bekasi Regency,” he said.
He hopes that the formation of the new NPCI Bekasi Regency management can be carried out soon by prioritizing the principles of openness and democracy in order to maintain the organization’s solidarity and unity among athletes.
