Police conducted a large-scale patrol to prevent crime in the area, Bekasi Regency, West Java. Police combed through industrial areas to markets.

“Conducting preventive mobile patrols on routes prone to crime, office areas, industrial zones, and shopping centers,” said the Bekasi Metro Police Chief.

Separately, the Chief of Cikarang Pusat Police stated that the patrol was held on Tuesday night. Dozens of personnel were deployed to sweep industrial areas to markets.

“Patrol locations ranged from the Bekasi Regency Government office complex – Deltamas Boulevard Road – Deltamas Modern Market – PT Hankook area,” he said.

Police also dispersed groups of teenagers still hanging out late at night to prevent brawls or other criminal acts. During the patrol, police arrested a motorcycle thief who was in action in the Industrial area.

“Securing a man suspected of being a motorcycle thief in front of PT. Hankook. He was then handed over to the criminal investigation standby unit for further processing,” he added.
