Police have revealed that R, a father, raped his 14-year-old biological daughter six times. R’s actions were uncovered after the victim reported the abuse to her stepbrother.
“This came to light after the victim told her stepbrother that she had been repeatedly assaulted by her own biological father,” explained the Bekasi Metro Police Chief during a press conference at his office.
After learning that her sister had been raped by their father, the stepbrother immediately reported it to the Bekasi Metro Police. Authorities acted swiftly and apprehended R.
“After that, the victim’s stepbrother reported the incident to us, and we took immediate action,” the police chief stated.
He explained why the victim had not reported the abuse earlier, despite being raped by her father for the past year. The victim was threatened, and the perpetrator took her phone to prevent her from speaking out.
“The victim’s phone was taken by the perpetrator, along with threats like ‘don’t you dare tell anyone,'” he added.
The police chief noted that R committed the acts when the house was empty. The perpetrator and victim lived together in the same house.
“At the time, the perpetrator took advantage of the situation when the house was quiet—when the victim’s biological mother and siblings were away—leaving only the victim alone,” he elaborated.
R raped his biological daughter six times. The last incident before the report occurred in May 2025.
The sexual abuse had been ongoing for the past year, starting when the child was just 13 years old.
R’s most recent assault occurred in May 2025. At the time, R was using his phone while his wife and children were asleep in their room.
He then approached his sleeping daughter, who was next to his wife. After getting close to the victim, R initially kissed her before proceeding to rape her.
For his heinous crimes, R faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.
