A lecturer from Indonesia University of Education (UPI) named Faujian Esa Gumilir has been reported missing. The news was confirmed by the UPI Public Relations office.

“It is true that he has been reported missing,” the spokesperson stated.

According to the information, Faujian was reported missing by his family six days ago. The History Education lecturer from the Faculty of Social Science Education was last seen by his family on August 29, 2025. At that time, he said goodbye to go to campus.

“The last face-to-face meeting with the family was on August 29, when he said goodbye to go to campus,” the spokesperson said.

The case has been reported by the family to Bandung City Police. The university is also assisting in the search process together with the family.

“Currently, the Dean’s Office and Study Program are still coordinating with the family,” the spokesperson added.

Furthermore, it was confirmed that Faujian’s motorcycle had been found. The vehicle was discovered parked at a minimarket in the Cikole area, Lembang, West Bandung Regency.

“The abandoned motorcycle has been retrieved by the family. While that is the information available, we ask for prayers so that he may be reunited with his family,” the spokesperson explained.

As of now, Faujian’s whereabouts remain unknown, and the family hopes he will be found soon in safe condition.
