Brazilian defender Julio Cesar had his first training session with Persib Bandung at the auxiliary field of Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Alongside Julio Cesar, the Indonesian national team midfielder has also joined.

The coach provided positive updates regarding both players. Julio Cesar, the new signing, faced some difficulties due to the long-haul flight.

However, it was confirmed that his physical condition is not a concern.

“Okay, maybe he was affected by the long flight. But today he has already trained, and everything will be fine,” said the coach after the team’s training session on Thursday (7/10).

Meanwhile, Beckham, who previously played for the Indonesian National Team, has also returned to training.

The coach explained that the young midfielder was given extra rest for recovery after a busy schedule at the end of last season.

“Beckham just arrived; we gave him extra time off because he was previously with the National Team and finished training and matches later than the other players. He has already trained today—if he hasn’t gained weight, then everything is fine,” said the coach.

Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium

The **Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium** (GBLA Stadium) is a modern football stadium located in Bandung, Indonesia, inaugurated in 2013. It serves as the home ground for **Persib Bandung**, one of Indonesia’s most popular football clubs. The name “Lautan Api” (Ocean of Fire) references Bandung’s historic 1946 event during the Indonesian independence struggle, when residents burned the city to resist Dutch reoccupation, symbolizing local pride and resilience.
