The rape case trial of doctor Priguna Anugerah Pratama has resumed. The Public Prosecutor’s Office of West Java High Court presented three witnesses to provide their testimony.

The trial of Priguna’s rape case began at 09:30 AM local time at the Bandung District Court on Jl LLRE Martadinata. The hearing was held behind closed doors and media personnel were prohibited from covering it.

“That’s correct, today the trial continues with the agenda of witness examination,” said the Head of the Legal Information Bureau when confirmed.

Based on information gathered, the witnesses presented included victims of sexual assault by doctor Priguna. According to the official, three witnesses would be examined in today’s trial.

“We must wait for the results of the witness examinations,” he concluded.

Priguna became a suspect after raping his victim, who was a family member of a patient at Bandung’s Hasan Sadikin Hospital, in March 2025. Priguna was then charged with committing criminal acts of sexual violence, specifically violating Article 6 letter c, in conjunction with Article 15 paragraph 1 letters b, e, and j, in conjunction with Article 16 paragraph 1 of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence, which carries a maximum penalty of 12 years imprisonment.
