The Business Administration Study Program at Telkom University held an educational activity titled “Step Up” at SMP Negeri 12 Bandung on Friday (May 8, 2026). This activity was attended by 8th-grade students with the aim of raising awareness among teenagers about the importance of building positive habits and good character from an early age.
The activity took place interactively through material presentation sessions, discussions, and educational games that were close to the students’ daily lives. Some topics discussed included discipline in time management, wise use of social media, the importance of setting priorities, and how to choose a positive social environment.
The material was delivered with a relaxed approach to make it easier for participants to understand. Students were also encouraged to realize that small habits practiced every day can influence their future, both in the school environment and in social life.
During the activity, students actively participated in discussion sessions and shared their views on challenges often faced by teenagers in the digital era. Through this activity, participants were encouraged to be more responsible for themselves, respect others, and build concern for their surroundings.
These values align with the application of Pancasila principles in daily life, such as mutual cooperation, responsibility, and mutual respect. Additionally, this activity supports the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of quality education and youth development.
The Flow Manager of the activity stated that this activity is expected to have a positive impact on students in building better habits from adolescence.
“Through this activity, we want to invite students to be more aware that simple things like time discipline, maintaining your social environment, and being wise in using social media can be important steps for their future,” they said.
Through the “Step Up” activity, it is hoped that such education can help shape the younger generation in Bandung to be more aware of the importance of self-development, have a positive mindset, and be able to face the challenges of the digital era more wisely.
