The goalkeeper has successfully written a new history in Indonesian football. The mainstay goalkeeper has officially become the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets in a single competition season after recording 18 matches without conceding a goal.

This record surpasses the previous record held by a former Persipura Jayapura goalkeeper. In the 2013 Indonesian Super League season, he managed to achieve 17 clean sheets and led Persipura Jayapura to the championship title by conceding only 18 goals in 34 matches.

This success marks an important achievement for Persib Bandung. Throughout the season, the defensive line of Persib Bandung performed solidly and consistently. However, the goalkeeper emphasized that this record was not achieved alone.

“Yes, thank God I could get that record. Everything Teja got was also with help from teammates. So hopefully it can be maintained and can be broken again by myself, God willing,” said Teja Paku Alam.

Interestingly, the record-breaking moment occurred when Persib Bandung faced Persijap Jepara, a match also attended by a former South Korean goalkeeper. The former goalkeeper is now known to be part of the coaching staff of Persijap Jepara.

Teja Paku Alam admitted that he received a direct congratulations from Yoo Jae-hoon after the match. Although brief, that moment became a special memory for the Persib Bandung goalkeeper.

“Ah, Coach Yoo Jae Hoon just said congratulations for the achievement, that’s all,” said Teja Paku Alam.
