PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) together with PT Daya Adicipta Motora (DAM), as the Main Dealer for Honda Motorcycles and Parts in West Java, held the “Racing in Synergy” program.

Through the spirit of Synergy for the Nation, this activity invites the public to actively participate alongside Honda motorcycles in supporting sustainability in Indonesia. Honda consistently demonstrates real contributions in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) fields through various initiatives close to daily life.

This program, running throughout August–September 2025, is a real manifestation of Honda’s commitment. Starting from comprehensive motorcycle checks before being received by customers, increasing riding safety awareness, to educating the public about a minimalist lifestyle aligned with the concept of sustainable living.

In implementing the Racing in Synergy program, DAM provided a simple example of reducing plastic waste by replacing single-use items with environmentally friendly products. Activity participants used durable and health-safe non-plastic tumblers, canvas tote bags for daily activities, and were served healthy food during the event.

One of the main topics in this activity was the practice of decluttering—an effort to simplify personal belongings for a more organized and sustainable life.

Experiences and the benefits of decluttering for future life were shared. This socialization took place at the Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Widyatama University Bandung, involving 50 students. Education was conducted together with the community, inviting participants to apply decluttering in a relaxed, practical, and easy-to-understand way.

According to one practitioner, “Decluttering doesn’t just mean clearing out unused items from piles. It’s more than that; decluttering makes us change our mindset from FOMO to being more mindful, and it can be a form of resistance against consumer culture and social pressure. Through decluttering we can learn to improve our quality of life by letting go of attachments to too many possessions. It also provides mental health benefits because tidy and clean rooms free of clutter, as well as a clean digital space, make the brain fresher and clearer for thinking.”

Furthermore, synergy was also established with national journalists through the Honda Experience program. Here, journalists directly experienced how Honda ensures every motorcycle unit delivered to the customer is in prime condition, while also emphasizing the importance of riding safety and reliable after-sales service.

The General Manager of Motorcycle Sales, Marketing & Logistics said, the Racing in Synergy activity affirms that the sustainability of the Honda motorcycle business always goes hand in hand with real contributions to society and the environment. This activity not only provides an experience regarding the importance of riding safety but also invites participants to implement a sustainable lifestyle through decluttering education.

“We hope this spirit of synergy can spread to various levels of society, especially the younger generation. With consistent small steps, such as using eco-friendly products and adopting a minimalist lifestyle, we can together protect the earth while supporting progress,” the statement concluded.
