The manager of Persib Bandung expressed gratitude after Persib Bandung secured the championship title. He stated that Persib Bandung’s success was inseparable from the prayers of millions of supporters and the hard work of all players throughout the season.
“Alhamdulillah, our goal has been achieved with Allah’s permission and the prayers of millions of people. Alhamdulillah, the prayers from everyone, along with the tremendous strength of the players,” he said after Persib Bandung secured the championship title.
He also recounted his efforts in supporting Persib Bandung during important matches this season. Despite being unwell, he forced himself to attend to provide direct motivation to the Maung Bandung squad.
According to him, he had difficulty obtaining departure tickets. However, his determination to support Persib Bandung made him still depart using the Whoosh fast train before finally arriving and giving instructions to the players.
“I went to Parepare while sick. Initially, I wasn’t going to leave; at 10 o’clock, I was still looking for a ticket and couldn’t find one. I left at 12 o’clock using Whoosh, arrived there, and immediately gave instructions to the kids. Winning this is a pride,” he said.
In addition to praising the efforts of Persib Bandung players, he also highlighted the improved quality of refereeing leadership in the Indonesian League competition this season. He assessed that the matches were fairer and more professional. “Persib Bandung won purely, no foul play. The quality of referees is getting better. If all referees in Indonesia are like that, God willing, it will be safe,” he stated.
Although known for being outspoken, he emphasized that he would not attack referees if they officiated matches fairly. He only reacts strongly when encountering decisions he considers detrimental.
Regarding the squad composition for next season, he hopes Persib Bandung’s strength will be maintained.
However, the final decision remains with coach Bojan Hodak and Persib Bandung’s management. “Yes, it should be maintained, but all decisions are from the coach. Hopefully, the coach will still be with us,” he said.
