The Regency Government implemented the Trustworthy Movement (Amanah) in Sindangkerta District on Friday (22/5/2026).

In this trustworthy movement activity, 11 commodities were provided: rice, cooking oil, sugar, eggs, beef, chicken meat, bird’s eye chili, curly chili, shallots, and garlic.

The Vice Regent, Asep Ismail, stated that this activity is an effort to control inflation and maintain stability in supply and food prices ahead of the 2026 Eid al-Adha National Religious Holiday.

“This trustworthy movement is carried out to anticipate fluctuations in food prices in the community,” he said on Friday (22/5/2026).

He added that this is a program organized by the West Java Food Security and Livestock Service in collaboration with the Food Security and Agriculture Service and Bank Indonesia.

“The goal is to raise awareness and concern among the public about the importance of food and global food issues, especially related to the impact of food price inflation. As we know, rice, chili, and shallots are the three commodities that contribute the most to inflation in West Java,” he said.

Furthermore, he invited all residents to participate in supporting this cheap food movement. This way, it can provide benefits to the community.

“This is a manifestation of the government’s presence in providing services to the community to obtain quality food at affordable prices below market rates and to reduce the price disparity between producers and consumers,” he said.

He emphasized that the West Bandung Regency Government is making maximum efforts to meet food needs down to the individual level, reflected in the availability of food that is sufficient in both quantity and quality, safe, diverse, evenly distributed, and affordable.

“Meeting the food needs of the community must be our shared concern so that food security can be properly realized,” he concluded.
