A fatal motorcycle-truck collision occurred on Jalan Cokroaminoto, in front of the Ubung Traditional Market, early Monday (25/5/2026). As a result, an online motorcycle taxi driver died at the scene.

“Information was received by the Denpasar City BPBD Pusdalops and then forwarded to Damakesmas Dentim I,” said the operator of the Denpasar City BPBD Pusdalops, confirmed on Monday.

The deceased online motorcycle taxi driver was identified as Bubun Bunyamin (40), originally from Kampung Malaka, Bojong Malaka Village, Bandung, West Java. The incident occurred around 03:30 AM local time.

BPBD officers and other volunteer teams checked the victim’s pulse, but it was not detectable. Upon examination, Bubun was also not breathing and was ultimately declared dead.

“The victim was an online motorcycle taxi rider. We have evacuated the body to Sanglah (Prof. Dr. IGNG Ngoerah General Hospital),” said Darma.

Meanwhile, the Denpasar Police Public Relations Head confirmed this. At the time, the victim was riding a Honda Beat motorcycle with license plate DK 2240 AFF.

“The victim was hit by a truck that was passing through the location,” he explained.

He explained that the victim was riding from north to south. Upon arriving at the scene, the victim allegedly swerved to the right and was hit by a Mitsubishi truck with license plate P 8569 VS, driven by Edy Sutikno (58). The force of the impact caused severe head injuries to the victim.

“The victim suffered severe head injuries from the collision. The victim was declared dead at the scene,” he concluded.
