Persib Bandung defender Federico Barba predicts the match against PSM Makassar will be tight and full of physical duels.

According to Barba, the coaching staff has provided a clear picture of the opponent’s playing style, so the players are well-prepared.

“We suspect tomorrow will be a very physical match. The coach has already shown us how they play,” said Barba.

Barba assesses PSM Makassar as a team with good quality and physical strength.

He stated this match will not be easy for Persib, especially because the opponent often relies on long throw-ins and aerial duels.

“I think it won’t be easy. There will be many long throw-ins, many duels, and as I said, they are a good team,” said Barba.

Nevertheless, Barba emphasized that Persib is now focusing more on their own game. He said the coach has asked all players to remain consistent with the playing style they have built so far.

“We are prepared. Now it’s more important for us to think about ourselves. The coach has said we must continue with our own team’s way of playing,” said Barba.

Barba also revealed that having his family in Bandung is an extra motivation. His family is scheduled to stay in Bandung for several days until early January.

“Yes, they will stay here for several days, until a few days in January. This is certainly a motivation for me,” he said.

Regarding rumors linking him with the Italian club Pescara, Barba stressed that this does not disturb his focus with Persib. He emphasized that all his attention is currently only on the match against PSM Makassar.

“No, I am only focused on tomorrow’s match. I am only thinking about tomorrow’s match, nothing else right now,” Barba stated.
