The decision by the Bandung City Prosecutor’s Office to stop the legal process against the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin, received a response from the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan.

Farhan emphasized that the Bandung City Government respects the decision of law enforcement officials and ensures that public services continue to run normally.

Farhan stated that from the beginning, the Bandung City Government was committed to following all ongoing legal processes without intervention. He considers legal certainty important to maintain government stability.

“The most important thing is legal certainty. With this decision, I hope all parties can respect the process that has taken place and together look forward,” said Farhan on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Farhan said that Bandung City currently faces many issues that require serious attention from the government and society. Therefore, government energy must remain focused on solving residents’ problems and city development.

Farhan emphasized that public services must not be disrupted by ongoing dynamics. The Bandung City Government will continue to ensure that the public receives the best services in various sectors.

According to him, besides services, city development is also ensured to continue according to the priority programs that have been designed by the government. Farhan considers development sustainability important to maintain the comfort and welfare of Bandung residents.

“The interests of residents must always be the top priority,” he said.

Farhan also ensured that the Bandung City Government staff continue to work professionally and maintain government stability. All regional apparatus are asked to remain focused on carrying out their duties so that priority programs can run effectively.

Farhan hopes that the polemic regarding the legal process does not drag on and that all parties can return to focusing on building Bandung City. Collaboration between the government and society is key to facing various urban challenges ahead.
