PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has once again demonstrated its role as a strategic partner to the government in driving inclusive economic growth. Through the Mass Contract Signing Program for 800,000 MSME Debtors (KUR, PMI, KPP) and Job Creation, BNI contributed to the success of this national event held simultaneously across 38 provinces throughout Indonesia.

The main event, centered at the Dyandra Convention Center in Surabaya, was attended by several high-ranking state officials, including the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, and the Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers. Also present were the Governor of East Java, regional heads, and representatives from Himbara, including the Director of Institutional Banking.

The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs stated that this program symbolizes the strong synergy between the government, the banking sector, and the community in expanding access to productive financing across all regions.

“The KUR program and other productive credit schemes are a crucial pillar in maintaining national economic resilience. Through cross-sector collaboration, I am confident this program can advance productive businesses in the future,” he said.

The Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers added that the KUR program for Indonesian Migrant Workers is a vital step to ensure migrant workers receive proper financing and avoid informal loans.

“Today’s contract signing is a tangible manifestation of the state’s presence in empowering migrant workers, enabling them to work abroad with lighter and more sustainable financing,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs emphasized the importance of the MSME sector in creating new jobs and strengthening community economic resilience.

“Every micro, small, and medium enterprise can absorb an average of two to three new workers. Economic growth can be driven by the spirit of self-reliance born from MSMEs,” he said.

The Governor of East Java also appreciated the designation of Surabaya as the center for this national activity.

“This mass contract signing is a momentum to open more new job opportunities and foster the spirit of people’s economy in the first year of the administration,” she said.

Boosting Access to Productive Financing

The Director of Institutional Banking explained that this event is part of BNI’s commitment to expanding financing access for micro, small, and medium enterprises across Indonesia.

“Through this mass contract signing activity, we aim to provide ease and accelerate credit access so that the community becomes more empowered and the regional economy continues to grow,” he said.

At the Surabaya location, 404 debtors were part of the 2,250 debtors who participated in the direct mass contract signing, covering various financing schemes such as micro KUR, small KUR, PMI KUR, and Housing Program Credit (KPP). The beneficiaries came from the agricultural, trade, and productive service sectors in East Java and surrounding areas.

In addition to Surabaya, BNI also coordinated the implementation of mass contract signings at two other locations: the North Kalimantan Governor’s Office Hall and the Pogombo Building in Central Sulawesi, involving hundreds of debtors from various local economic sectors.

The Director added that this step aligns with BNI’s role as a distributor of KUR and government program credit focused on empowering the people’s economy.

“BNI will continue to serve as a government partner in strengthening the national economic structure through tangible support for productive sectors and sustainable financing,” he affirmed.

Through participation in this program, BNI hopes to accelerate economic equality, encourage the growth of new MSMEs, and create more jobs in the regions.

By expanding access to inclusive finance and productive financing, BNI reaffirms its commitment to continue being the driving force behind a resilient, independent, and sustainable national economic development.
