A free concert titled “Red and White” will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Bandung City Hall Plaza. The music concert will showcase various local artists in a Big Band Jazz format.
The Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, expressed his desire to highlight the quality of local artists and music through this concert. He added that the event will be well-documented and reported to the LMKN.
“This live event will feature 24 patriotic and regional songs, all performed by local artists. We want to show that in Bandung, when it comes to the quality of artists, especially in music, everything is exceptionally good. We will ensure proper documentation and report it to the LMKN,” said Farhan at Pendopo, Jl. Daleumkaum, Bandung City.
Farhan emphasized the uniqueness of this concert, which lies in the Big Band Jazz style, dominated by brass instruments.
“Brass instruments, which we usually only hear in marching bands, can now be enjoyed in a seated Big Band Jazz format,” he said.
Furthermore, Farhan explained that the concert involves various groups, from children and teenagers to Bandung City Government employees and professional local musicians. Although there are no big-name musicians, he sees this as the beginning of a new standard for celebrations in Bandung.
Regarding funding, Farhan stated that the event is financed through joint contributions from relevant departments, including the Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (KUKM), the Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar), the Youth and Sports Office (Dispora), the Communication and Information Technology Office (Diskominfo), as well as major sponsors like BJB, Goto, and Bio Farma.
Farhan invited Bandung residents to appreciate the talents of local and national musicians. Additionally, he confirmed that the Bandung City Government is committed to paying royalties for the 24 songs to be performed.
“We will pay the appropriate royalties as part of our educational efforts. These patriotic and regional songs are familiar to us and can be sung together,” he said.

The Regent of Bandung, Dadang Supriatna, claims that all damaged roads in the region will be repaired within the next three years.
The Bandung Regency Government has allocated a budget of up to Rp1 trillion for the project. Dadang stated that the remaining damaged roads span approximately 500 kilometers. Repairs will be carried out in stages from the 2025 fiscal year to 2027, depending on regional financial capabilities.
“Our goal is clear: within three years, there will be no more damaged roads in Bandung Regency. Everything will be resolved,” said Dadang after a plenary meeting at the Bandung Regency DPRD Building.
According to him, this program is a continuation of previous efforts. During his 3.5-year leadership, around 1,000 kilometers of roads have been repaired. However, the number of damaged roads has increased again due to the change in status of several village roads to regency roads.
This year, the local government has allocated Rp300 billion to begin repairs. The remaining budget will be distributed evenly in 2026 and 2027.
One of this year’s focuses is the repair of the 22-kilometer Kendeng–Dewata–Londok section in Pasirjambu District. This road connects Bandung Regency with Cianjur Regency and requires Rp44 billion in funding.
“Residents’ requests have been accommodated. The Kendeng to Londok road will be addressed this year, with the initial four-kilometer stretch to be paved,” said Dadang.
He stressed that inter-regency roads are vital for both economic activities and tourism access. Therefore, he urged support from the West Java Provincial Government and nearby companies through CSR funds.
The Head of the Bandung Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, Zeis Zultaqawa, confirmed that the increase in road damage was triggered
