The Provincial Government of West Java, through the West Java Education Office, has begun opening the registration mechanism for SMA and SMK Unggul Human Schools (Maung). The entire registration process is conducted online through a special application prepared by the provincial government.
The Unggul Human School or Maung School is one of the flagship education programs of the West Java Provincial Government, designed to attract high-achieving students through various selection pathways, ranging from academic potential, academic competence, to non-academic competence.
Prospective new students can register independently through the official application at: maung.spmb.jabarprov.go.id.
There are three registration pathways for Maung School: academic potential with a quota of 10 percent, academic competence with a quota of 70 percent, and non-academic competence with 20 percent.
Registration is done using an account provided by the Dapodik operator from the original school. In addition to independent registration, prospective students can also seek assistance from their original school or target school by bringing scanned required documents or through the Sapa Warga application.
Registration Pathways for SMA Maung School
1. Academic Potential Pathway for SMA
In this pathway, prospective students are required to follow several stages:
– Log in to the registration application
– Select the target school
– Choose the Academic Potential pathway
– Fill in data and upload regular required documents
Documents to be uploaded include:
– Birth certificate
– Family card
– Parents’ ID cards
– Report cards
– Diploma or Graduation Certificate
– Proof of taking the Academic Ability Test (TKA)
– Recommendation letter from the original school principal
– Absolute Responsibility Letter from parents printed from the application
After all stages are completed, participants must print the registration proof.
2. Academic Competence Pathway for SMA
For this pathway, participants can choose two selection categories: report card-based or academic interest and talent.
The stages include:
– Log in to the application
– Select the target school
– Choose the Academic Competence pathway
– Select the type of selection pathway
– If choosing the report card-based pathway, participants must fill in their domicile starting from village or sub-district to district.
Participants then upload general documents and specific documents including:
– Report cards for semesters 1 to 5
– Academic competition certificates
– Non-competition academic awards
– Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI) documents
After completion, participants print the registration proof.
3. Non-Academic Competence Pathway for SMA
This pathway is intended for students with non-academic achievements or leadership experience.
The stages:
– Log in and select the non-academic competence pathway
– Fill in data and upload general required documents
– Upload proof of non-academic achievements or leadership decree
If necessary, participants must undergo a competency test to validate their awards or certificates. The validation results will determine whether participants proceed in the selection process. Participants who have completed the process must print the registration proof from the application.
Registration Pathways for SMK Maung School
1. Academic Potential Pathway for SMK
Prospective participants:
– Log in to the application
– Select the target school
– Choose the Academic Potential pathway
– Select a field or expertise program with a maximum of three choices
Participants then fill in data and upload general documents as well as Academic Potential Test results. The final stage is printing the registration proof.
2. Academic Competence Pathway for SMK
In this pathway, participants must:
– Log in using their respective accounts
– Select one SMK and a maximum of three expertise programs
– Choose the Academic Competence pathway
– Determine the selection type based on report card or academic interest
