Evi Mafriningsianti Pushes for Public Transport Modernization in Bekasi City

BEKASI CITY – Commission II of Bekasi City Council held a Hearing with partners from the Department of Transportation, the Regional Research and Development Agency, and private sector representatives in transportation. The meeting took place at the Commission II Room, Bekasi City Council Building, Chairil Anwar Street, East Bekasi.

The secretary emphasized the importance of improving the public transport system in Bekasi City, which is deemed ready for modernization.

She stressed the need for collaboration between the government and the private sector to promote the development of technology-based transportation like Buy The Service (BTS).

“The main goal is to improve public transportation in Bekasi City. We all know that public transport in Bekasi City is suitable to be modernized with the BTS concept currently being proposed by the private sector to the Department of Transportation so that it can be collaborated,” she said after the meeting, Wednesday (4/6/2025).
