Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK leader M.K. Stalin participated in the Vote Rights March in Bihar. During the day’s rally, praise for Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav was heard from the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. He said he is optimistic about the INDIA bloc’s good performance in the upcoming state assembly elections. Stalin said, whenever the country’s democracy has been in crisis, the people of Bihar have joined the fight to protect it. This time too, they have joined that fight.
Attacking the BJP, Stalin said, ‘The BJP knows that if elections are held correctly and transparently, the BJP will be defeated. That is why they are trying to take away people’s right to vote. The National Election Commission has become a puppet controlled by the BJP. Under the guise of a special review of the voter list, 65 lakh voters’ names have been removed from the list. Democracy has been murdered.’
Recently, at a press conference, Rahul Gandhi presented data from various polling booths and claimed that the BJP is stealing votes. He also targeted the Commission. Following Rahul’s attack, the National Election Commission demanded that the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha apologize for attacking the Election Commission. Today, Stalin said, ‘The Commission could not strongly refute the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi. Instead, they demanded that the Congress MP apologize. The people of Bihar have come out in large numbers today against vote theft. They are preparing to snatch power from the BJP.’
It is notable that the first meeting of the opposition INDIA bloc was held in Patna. Referring to this, Stalin said, ‘The INDIA bloc’s journey began from Patna. Those who thought they would cross 400 seats in the Lok Sabha have been stopped at 204 by INDIA. I am optimistic that the victory of INDIA will begin from this Bihar. The people of Bihar will prove that no matter how powerful the ruler is, they must bow to the power of the people.’
Alongside Stalin at the Vote Rights March today were Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, Bihar’s Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, and CPI(ML Liberation) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya.
