Mumbai, A 33-year-old man in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district allegedly killed his twin daughters while heading to his ancestral home and later surrendered to the police. A police officer reported that the incident occurred on 21 October and the accused surrendered on Saturday.

The accused, who works for a private company in Pune, had planned to visit his ancestral village in Washim district with his wife and daughters Pranali and Pratishtha for Diwali.

The police officer stated that the couple had an argument and the wife went to her parents’ home in Pune, which deeply distressed the accused. According to the officer, while traveling to Washim on Tuesday, the accused allegedly strangled both girls in a deserted area near Ankarwadi in Buldhana district.
