Hyderabad – The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation is currently advancing several ambitious projects to strengthen urban administration and traffic facilities. On one hand, work on the construction of the CSC headquarters is progressing rapidly, while on the other, significant projects for traffic improvement at various locations are underway. The CSC plans to complete projects worth over 1800 crore rupees soon.

Along with the construction of the new Cyberabad Municipal Corporation headquarters, infrastructure projects such as grade separators, flyovers, and road over bridges at major junctions are included. For the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, a state-of-the-art headquarters is proposed near Munday Kunta Lake in Khanamet at a cost of approximately 161 crore rupees. Spread over about 4 acres, this complex will be based on the net zero energy green building concept.

It will feature modern amenities such as solar energy, rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling, and smart building management. Officials stated that the headquarters will play a key role in making civic services more effective and transparent. A 3.38-kilometer-long grade separator will be built at the IIIT Junction at a cost of about 499 crore rupees. This project will ease traffic between Gachibowli, Financial District, ISB, and ORR.

Travel time to reduce by 16 minutes during peak hours

Over two lakh vehicle drivers are expected to benefit daily, with a travel time saving of about 20 minutes. A flyover and underpass will be constructed at the Khajaguda Junction at a cost of 220 crore rupees. This project will ensure uninterrupted traffic between Khajaguda, Sheikhpet, Nanakramguda, and Gachibowli, reducing travel time by approximately 16 minutes during peak hours.

At the Kukatpally Y-Junction and IDL Lake Junction, flyover and road widening works will be carried out at a cost of 180 crore rupees. This project will reduce traffic congestion and save commuters an average of 12 minutes. A four-lane road over bridge and road widening work is proposed near Lingampally Railway Station at a cost of about 308 crore rupees. This project will provide a permanent solution to the problem of the existing underbridge, which is affected by waterlogging during the monsoon, and ensure smooth movement in the Nallagandla-Lingampally area.

Additionally, a grade separator and vehicular underpass will be developed at Alwin X Road and Miyapur Junction at a cost of 530 crore rupees. According to officials, after the completion of all projects, significant improvements in traffic flow, environmental protection, fuel savings, and civic amenities will be seen in the Cyberabad area, giving new momentum to Hyderabad’s IT and business sectors.
