Hyderabad, Preparations for the famous fish prasadam distribution program, held every year on the occasion of Mrigashira Karte, are underway on a war footing in Hyderabad. Inspecting the arrangements for this event, to be held on June 8 at Nampally Exhibition Ground, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar gave several important instructions to the officials.

Review of Preparations at Nampally Exhibition Ground

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar visited the event venue along with Cooperation Minister Vakiti Srihari. Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, Fisheries Corporation Chairman Mettu Saikumar, Shot Chairman Shivasena Reddy, and several senior officials were present during this time.

Special Attention to Barricading and Queue Management

The ministers inspected the barricades and queues set up for devotees and instructed officials to ensure no devotee faces any inconvenience.

Fish Prasadam Distribution to Begin at 9 PM

This year, the fish prasadam distribution program will start at 9 PM on June 8. Considering the likelihood of a large number of devotees arriving from across the country, the administration has been directed to remain fully alert.

Instructions to Police to Prevent Stampede

The minister told police officers that there should be no stampede in the queues and that law and order must remain completely under control.

Devotee Convenience is a Priority

Given the heat and humidity, instructions have been given to install large fans and coolers near the queues.

Orders to Ensure Uninterrupted Power Supply

Special arrangements have been ordered to prevent power disruptions during the event.

Drinking Water and Medical Facilities to be Available

The minister instructed officials to provide adequate drinking water, set up medical camps, and keep ambulances ready for emergency services.

Special WhatsApp Group for Officials

Instructions have been given to create a special WhatsApp group for better coordination among all departments.

Monitoring Through Control Room

A special control room will be set up at the Exhibition Ground for continuous monitoring of the entire event.

Special Plan for Traffic and Security

It has been directed to prepare a plan in advance to avoid traffic jams in Nampally and surrounding areas.

She-Teams Deployed for Women’s Safety

She-teams will be deployed to ensure the safety of women. Devotees will also be continuously alerted to be cautious of pickpockets.

Monitoring Through CCTV Cameras

The entire premises will be kept under CCTV camera surveillance to prevent any untoward incidents.

Special Arrangements for Fire Safety

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar directed that fire brigade vehicles be kept ready and the sound system be fully functional so that essential information reaches devotees clearly.

Food Donation Programs to be Encouraged

The minister appealed to voluntary organizations to organize large-scale food donation programs for devotees this year, as they do every year. The fish prasadam distribution program held in Hyderabad is connected to the faith of millions of devotees. Keeping this in mind, the government has made extensive arrangements regarding security, traffic, and other facilities so that the event can be completed peacefully and in an orderly manner.
