Hyderabad: India’s young badminton players Raunak Chauhan and Shriyanshi Valishetty easily defeated their opponents in the finals of the men’s under-19 and women’s under-19 categories, respectively, to claim the titles at the Cuttack India Junior International Badminton Tournament. The finals, held at the Gachibowli-based Pullela Gopichand Academy, saw Raunak Chauhan and Shriyanshi Valishetty emerge as champions.

The chief guests at the closing ceremony, the head coach of Indian badminton, Pullela Gopichand, and the vice president of the Telangana Badminton Association, V. Chamundeshwarnath, distributed awards to the winners. Sports officials were present on the occasion.

Results are as follows:

Under-19 Men’s Singles Final: Raunak Chauhan defeated Tankara Gyan Dattu 2-1. Under-19 Women’s Singles Final: Shriyanshi Valishetty defeated Aikya Shetty 2-0. Under-19 Men’s Doubles Final: Niranjan GN Nandkumar and Yuddhajeet Reddy defeated Bhavya Chhabra and C. Lalaramsanga 2-1. Under-19 Women’s Doubles Final: Deepak Raj Aditi and Ponnamma BV Vriddhi defeated Keerthi Manchala and V. Prabhu Anand 2-0.

Under-19 Mixed Doubles Final: Vansh Dev and Shravani Walekar defeated Mithilesh P. Krishnan and V. Prabhu Anand 2-1. Under-19 Men’s Singles Semifinal: Raunak Chauhan defeated Ansh Negi 2-1; Tankara Gyan Dattu defeated Dhyan Santosh 2-0. Under-19 Women’s Singles Semifinal: Shriyanshi Valishetty defeated Tanvi Patri 2-0; Aikya Shetty defeated Tanvi Reddy 2-1.

Cuttack India Junior International Badminton Tournament
