Hyderabad, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) conducted an awareness program under its nationwide road safety initiative at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Golconda, where a large number of students participated. According to the press release, the use of two-wheelers is steadily increasing across the country, making road safety education more relevant than ever.

With this goal in mind, awareness campaigns have been launched in various schools across Hyderabad. Children are being encouraged to learn the fundamental principles of road discipline in their everyday academic environment. HMSI organized this program at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalayas in Golconda as part of its initiative. Structured road safety principles and demonstrations of safe riding habits were presented through various informative sessions.

Call to Adopt Road Safety as a Mindset

Critical issues such as helmet usage, situational awareness, and real-time decision-making on the road were emphasized. Participants were encouraged to adopt critical thinking and demonstrate active engagement. HMSI’s trained instructors led the campaign, helping students understand road safety not just as a rulebook but as a mindset.

HMSI’s skilled safety instructors conduct daily programs across India’s 10 approved Traffic Training Parks (TTP) and 6 Safety Driving Education Centers (SDEC) to ensure road safety education reaches every section of society. This initiative has already reached over 10 million Indians. Recently, a digital road safety learning platform, e-Gurukul, was also launched. The e-Gurukul platform provides training modules for three distinct age groups, ranging from 5 to 18 years.
