Hyderabad: Under the ‘Arrive Alive’ program, the Transport Minister rode a two-wheeler while wearing a helmet. He also participated in a rally to raise public awareness. During his visit to Adilabad district, the Minister stated that a large number of people are losing their lives in accidents. Particularly, young people who are the primary earners for their families are becoming victims of accidents in greater numbers.
The ‘Arrive Alive’ program is being organized to prevent accidents. The number of people losing their lives in road accidents is nearly equal to those lost in a major disaster. A reward of 25 thousand rupees is being given to individuals who save the lives of accident victims.

The Minister said that every person should wear a helmet to protect their own life. Raising public awareness is essential to control accidents. If an accident occurs, people present at the scene should immediately take the injured to the hospital. He said Adilabad district is becoming a model for everyone in following traffic rules. Children are also teaching their parents traffic rules. Meetings are being organized for accident prevention.
